Head of Engineering – AI Agents & Full Stack
About the Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on, high-agency Engineering Leader to drive technical execution and guide a small, high-potential team of Engineers and interns. You’ll be responsible for shipping end-to-end projects using modern agentic frameworks and AI tooling, while building the foundation of a fast-moving startup. This is a high-impact founding role with significant autonomy, and the opportunity to grow into a long-term Engineering Leadership position.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of 6–8 engineers & interns across full-stack and AI projects.
- Architect and build hands-on solutions using LLMs, agents, and modern cloud stacks.
- Own Product delivery – from scoping to deployment.
- Bootstrap fast, iterate faster, and ship prototypes that can scale.
- Drive adoption of best practices in engineering, design, and ops.
- Collaborate closely with founders to shape the product and tech roadmap.
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Are deeply hands-on with full-stack and cloud-native development.
- Understand how LLMs, agents, and agentic frameworks work under the hood.
- Can context-switch between guiding junior developers and deep-diving into code.
- Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building 0-to-1 products.
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset and are comfortable wearing many hats.
- Have 7–12 years of experience in software engineering, including hands-on full-stack development and technical leadership. That said, we care more about your depth, clarity of thought, and ability to build than the number of years on your résumé.
Bonus:
- Experience with open-source LLMs, vector databases, or orchestration frameworks.
- Previous startup or early-stage build experience.
Location:
The primary work location is Coimbatore, India. We work in a flexible hybrid model but value synchronous collaboration in IST.
